Vin Baker - First Impressions
Vin Baker's ascent and descent in the basketball world is well known. Slam Magazine's article entitled "The Curious Case of Vin Baker" attributes Vin's downfall to alcohol, a change of scenery, and a loss of confidence in his abilities. We've all heard that there are three sides to every story. I don't know what Vin's truth is, but I will present many sides to Vin's story, with the intent of showing how fragile success can be and how important the psychological dimension is in all of our lives. Why Vin Baker? Zack Burgess' Slam story reminds me of the first time I really became aware of Vin's basketball potential. The first time I actually saw Vin play was in his freshman year at the University of Hartford against Dartmouth University.
